North Bank Condo Rented!

Last week and weekend were pretty busy. We got back from Oregon on Tuesday. We had a wonderful time spending time with our relatives and being able to attend Chris and Taylor's wedding. Wednesday we spend doing some Christmas shopping and we finally got around to decorating the house. Thurs and Fri we both worked. Saturday was move in day for the renters. After almost 2 months of advertising and interviewing renters, we found some young photography students that were interested in renting the condo. We moved them in on Saturday morning. It's a big relief now that the condo is finally rented and we have a little extra income coming in to cover all the mortgages.

Saturday was also a surprise as it was my birthday and Melinda was "scheduled" to work. However, I woke up in the morning, found the house decorated with balloons and a scavenger hunt. I found all 10 hidden locations, now I had a word jumble to decipher. Just as I was working on it, Melinda called to see how I was doing. A few minutes later she rung the doorbell! That was a great surprise -- she had taken the day off work. After moving in the renters, we went out to lunch and then on to the BUENA LANES (the answer to the word jumble) for an hour of bowling. We had fun and after bowling 4 1/2 games were pretty sore too. My last game I did the best that I could remember with a 199.

After bowling we went out to a movie - The Pursuit of Happyness. The next surprise on the list was a drive to the Camarillo Outlet Mall and a stop at the chocolate factory for a chocolate covered apple. That was a good snack / early dessert. To finish off the day we went out to dinner in Camarillo at Octavio's Italian Restaurant. The service was fast and the food was good. It was a fun birthday celebration together.
